Section 1
Who we are
Ajé Financial (“Ajé,” “we,” “us”) is a personal bill and financial management application operated by an individual operator based in the State of Georgia, United States. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
Questions or requests about this policy: privacy@ajemoney.app
Section 2
What Ajé does
Ajé is a private record-keeping tool. You enter your own financial information — bills, income, expenses, budgets, debts, payments, assets, savings goals, and crypto holdings — and Ajé organizes it, calculates schedules and payoff projections, and shows you where you stand. An account is required so your records persist and stay private to you. Ajé is free to use and does not process payments.
Ajé is not a bank, lender, broker, money transmitter, or financial institution, and it does not move money or connect to your bank accounts.
Section 3
Information we collect
What we do NOT collect
- No bank account credentials, and no bank or card linking of any kind — Ajé has no connection to your financial institutions.
- No payment card numbers, billing details, or financial account numbers.
- No Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, or credit reports.
- No passwords held by us — sign-in credentials are managed entirely by our authentication provider (see Section 6).
- No precise location data, contacts, or address books.
- No advertising identifiers, ad pixels, or cross-site trackers.
Account information
When you create an account we receive your email address and, if you provide one, your name. If you sign in with Google or Apple, that provider confirms your identity to us and shares your email address and basic profile name — we do not receive your Google or Apple password. We also store your account’s display preferences: default currency and time zone.
Financial information you enter
Everything you record in Ajé is stored in your account so it is there when you return. This includes income sources and amounts, bills and due dates, expenses, budgets, debts and balances, payments, assets and their valuations, savings goals, crypto holdings, and the categories you create. You choose what to enter; Ajé never retrieves this information from third parties on your behalf.
File imports
If you import a CSV file, it is parsed to create records in your account. The resulting records are stored; the uploaded file itself is not retained after the import completes.
Technical information
Our hosting provider automatically records standard request information — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser and device type, and error details — for security, abuse prevention, and debugging. Ajé does not run analytics software and does not build usage profiles.
Section 4
How we use information
- To provide the service — storing your records, calculating due dates, budgets, and payoff projections, and displaying your dashboard.
- To secure your account — authenticating you, preventing unauthorized access, and investigating abuse.
- To meet legal obligations — responding to valid legal process.
We do not sell or share your personal information. We do not use it for advertising, we do not disclose it to data brokers, and we do not use your financial data to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Ajé does not use AI models to process your data at all. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect.
Section 5
Cookies
Ajé uses only strictly necessary cookies — the ones required to keep you signed in. There are no analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies, so no cookie consent banner is required. These cookies are set by our authentication provider, Clerk.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | How to opt out |
|---|---|---|---|
| __session | Keeps you signed in and authorizes requests to your own data. | Session / up to 7 days | Cannot be disabled while signed in. Sign out or clear site data to remove it. |
| __client_uat | Tells the app whether a signed-in session exists, so pages render the right state. | Session / up to 7 days | Same as above. |
Because Ajé performs no cross-site tracking, there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to disable; we honor it by design.
Section 6
Third-party processors
We use a small number of service providers to run Ajé. They process data only on our instructions and are contractually bound to protect it. We do not use analytics, advertising, or AI vendors.
| Provider | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk | Account creation, sign-in, session management, and credential storage | View |
| Supabase | Hosted PostgreSQL database storing your account and financial records | View |
| Vercel | Application hosting, content delivery, and server request logs | View |
| Identity provider — only if you choose to sign in with Google | View | |
| Apple | Identity provider — only if you choose to sign in with Apple | View |
Section 7
Data retention
| Category | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Financial records you enter | Until you delete them, or until your account is deleted. |
| Account information | Until you delete your account, then removed from active systems within 30 days. |
| Uploaded CSV files | Not retained — parsed during the import, then discarded. |
| Server request logs | Retained by our hosting provider for a short period (typically about 30 days) for security and debugging. |
| Encrypted backups | Deleted records may persist in database backups for up to 30 days before those backups expire. |
Section 8
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your information. Most of this you can do yourself inside the app: every record is editable and deletable, and deleting your account removes your data along with it.
To make a request, email privacy@ajemoney.app from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days. We will not charge you or degrade your service for exercising these rights.
Section 9
Where your data is stored
Ajé is hosted in the United States, and your database records are stored in the US East region. If you use Ajé from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the US. For users in the EEA and the UK, these transfers rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses maintained by our processors listed in Section 6.
Section 10
Children
Ajé is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, email privacy@ajemoney.app and we will delete it.
Section 11
Security
All traffic between your browser and Ajé is encrypted with TLS, and database storage is encrypted at rest by our database provider. Sign-in credentials are held and protected by Clerk, not by us, so there are no passwords in our database to leak. Every request is scoped to the signed-in account, so your records are not visible to other users. We store no payment data and hold no banking credentials.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and any required regulator without undue delay, and within 72 hours where the GDPR applies.
Section 12
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the “Last updated” date above. For material changes — such as collecting a new category of data or adding a new processor — we will give notice in the app before the change takes effect. Please review this page periodically.
Section 13
Contact
Privacy questions, data requests, and complaints: privacy@ajemoney.app. We aim to respond within 30 days. For questions about our Terms of Service or copyright notices, email support@ajemoney.app.
Section 14
Regional supplements
EEA and United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR)
The operator of Ajé Financial is the data controller for the information described in this policy. Our legal bases under Article 6 are:
- Performance of a contract — creating your account and storing the records you enter, so we can provide the service you asked for.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the service secure, preventing abuse, and debugging faults.
- Legal obligation — responding to valid legal process.
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection under Articles 15–22, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
California (CCPA / CPRA)
In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (email address, name, account ID); commercial and financial information you enter about your own finances; and internet activity information (server request logs). We collect it for the business purposes described in Section 4 and keep it for the periods in Section 7.
We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond the purposes permitted by the CCPA. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with written permission; we may ask you to verify the request directly.
